

KNAPP, Marjorie Wright James, 82, of Midlothian, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was the only daughter of the late Roy and Betty Wright of Staunton, Va., and was also preceded in death by her husband, Travious H. Knapp Jr., and two brothers, James F "Sonny" Wright and Charles E. Wright. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia J. Dean and her husband, James, of Chesterfield; three grandsons, James A. Dean III and his wife, Julie, of Sanford, Fla., Scott H. Dean and his wife, Dawn, of Midlothian and Jeffrey F. Dean and his wife, Monica, of Beaufort, S.C.; five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Travious, Aidan, Claire and Victoria Dean; a beloved niece, Theresa K. Cornwell and husband, John, of Stephens City, Va.; one brother, Richard L. Wright of Mechanicsville; seven nephews and two nieces.
Marjorie was retired from the former Bell Atlantic (Verizon), where she had been a service representative instructor for many years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, friend and quite an animal lover. She touched many lives and will truly be missed.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian.
