Marjorie dedicated more than 40 years of her life to Genworth Financial, building a long and meaningful career marked by steady commitment and the ability to positively affect the lives of many along the way. Her devotion to her work reflected a life lived with purpose and care.
Outside of her career, Marjorie found joy in the simple, sustaining pleasures of time well spent with others. She loved music and entertaining friends and family, bringing people together with an easy hospitality that made everyone feel welcome. Cooking was among her favorite pastimes, often shared alongside a good glass of wine, and her home was a place where conversation, laughter, and connection were warmly encouraged. The joy she gave to others, and the memories she helped create, remain an enduring part of her legacy.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, William Thompson.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Randell and her husband, Thomas; step daughters, Amy Thompson and Jennifer Thompson; granddaughters, Lily Walker Malmquist and Kaylynn Randell; and grandson, Carson Randell.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-5pm on Saturday, October 10 at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel.
