Born in Richmond, VA, he was a 2003 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and spent more than twenty years in the mortgage industry.
Matt became a Christian around the age of 30 and had been a member of Village Church for 13 years.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Alicia, and his beloved sons, Luke and John.
A memorial service will be held at Village Church, 233 N. Courthouse Rd., Richmond, VA 23236, on November 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Village Church Legacy Offering to support the construction of a space to disciple the next generation.
