Michael Edward Taylor, age 81, of Richmond, VA, went home to be with Jesus surrounded by friends and family on Sunday, February 2, 2025. He was born September 13, 1943, son of the late James and Ruby Taylor of Wirtz, VA.
Surviving him are his wife, Michele Taylor, sons Greg Taylor (Gena) and Eric Taylor (Alli); daughters Nikki Horton (Ryan) and Sara Tomblin (Bubba); stepdaughter Heather Harrington; 6 grandchildren: Clayton, Jaxson, Olivia, Miller, Mason and Kinsley; brother John Taylor (Linda); sister Martha Bowman (Dean); sister-in-law Marilee Taylor; and many nieces and nephews. He was a faithful member of The Gideons for 40 years. His heart was for everyone to know the saving love and grace of Jesus. His grandkids want everyone to know he was the best Papa in the world.
A visitation for Mike will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grace Church, 2240 Cranbeck Rd, Richmond, VA 23235. A Celebration of Life will occur Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grace Church.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to The Gideons International for Bibles would make his heart happy.
