Myrtle Gray Fuller Jenkins
November 5, 1923 – February 12, 2019

Jenkins, Myrtle Gray Fuller, 95, passed away on February 12, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Thomas Leslie (TL). She was the last surviving sibling of the ten children of Joseph and Lorena Fuller of Pinetops, N.C. She is survived by four children, Thomas L III (Betsy), William H (Clemmie), Kenneth F (Rhonda), and Susan Gregory (Patrick), 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Myrtle met TL in Baltimore at Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Company, and they were married in 1943 before TL was sent to the Pacific Theater. After the war she and TL made their home on Courthouse Road in Chesterfield, became faithful and active members of Providence United Methodist Church, raised their family and served their community. After her children reached school age, Myrtle made a career in banking, at Richmond National Bank and McGuire VA Credit Union. She, like her husband, represented the best of the greatest generation.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 17, at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Va 23113. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 18, at Providence United Methodist Church, 901 S. Providence Road, Richmond, VA 23226, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Myrtle's name to the church.
