

Norman David Borthwick passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on September 23, 1949.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Florence Borthwick, and his brother, Len Borthwick.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Borthwick, whom he adored and cherished. He also leaves behind his children, Jennifer, Jessica, Christine, and Jason (Siri), as well as his treasured grandchildren, Adela, Kaiden, Taavi, Torin, and Caius. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Norm found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time at the neighborhood clubhouse playing marbles, cards, and bingo with friends. He was an avid fan of classic Westerns and could often be found watching his favorite shows. When he wasn't at the clubhouse or enjoying a good Western, he stayed connected with family and friends through Facebook, always happy to share a story, a laugh, or keep up with those he cared about.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia on July 15th at 12:45 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Greenwich Walk Clubhouse from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., where all who knew and loved Norm are welcome to join in remembering his life.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who loved, supported, and shared in Norm's life. Your kindness, friendship, and love meant the world to him and continue to bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
Norm's kindness, sense of humor, and love for his family will be remembered always. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
