
Breeden, Patricia Duke, 76, of Powhatan, VA, passed away on January 28, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eloise Parker Lipscomb and Shelton Hubert Duke, and her stepfather, W.D. Lipscomb. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Milton Lloyd Breeden; their children, Michael Breeden and Ann Lloyd Breeden; her cousins; and her beloved German Shepherd, Maxie. Born in Victoria, Virginia and raised in Richmond, Mrs. Breeden was a graduate of John Marshall High School and Longwood College and enjoyed a long teaching career, including many years on the faculty of Manchester High School in Chesterfield County. In retirement, she was active in numerous organizations, including the Lee Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, serving as President, and the Bermuda Hundred Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, serving as Regent. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary organization of women educators. She was a member of Winfree Memorial Baptist Church in Midlothian in recent years, and prior to that, a member since childhood of Bethany Place Baptist Church and its predecessors. The family will receive friends at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1 at Winfree Church, with interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Winfree Church (P.O.
