Phyllis Blanks Humphrey, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Born to Richard and Myrtle (Crocker) Blanks, Phyllis was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Allen Shifflett; her parents, Richard and Myrtle Blanks; and her sister, Sue Weilmuenster. Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly D. Kyte and Karen D. Minor (Antonio); her cherished grandchildren, Jenna Nicole Kyte and Alexander Scott Kyte; her brother, R. Steve Blanks (Rachel); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Phyllis was a woman of unwavering love and strength, always putting her family first. She had a kind and generous heart, with a quick wit and an infectious laugh that brightened any room she entered. Her devotion to her loved ones was unmatched, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her legacy of love, compassion, and warmth will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
