

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia A. Marshall; his parents, Earl Ray Sr. and Geraldine; and his brother, Robert "RD."
He is survived by his son, David (Gail); daughter, Pam; granddaughters, Heather (Dustin), Caitlyn (Cory), Bracey (Dallas); great grandchildren, Cambrian, Brooklyn, Axel, Maverick, Jace, Starr, Seven, Kylin, Kayley, Kyler; sister, Roberta (Robert); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ray was born in Bluefield, WV and raised in Narrows, VA on the New River. He worked as a boiler maker with Local 45, finished his career as a master carpenter project manager. Ray never really retired as he worked with Interfaith services providing home repairs for those less fortunate. This mission brought him so much joy not only helping others, but with his special group of friends.
He loved fishing, hunting, camping, spending time with his grand and great grandchildren, biscuits and gravy, but most of all he loved the Lord!
