Rebecca Hamby Louis

Rebecca “Becky” H, Louis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5th 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents William L. Hamby (father), Alease H. Smith and Ashley B. Smith (mother and step-father), Mark R. Smith (Brother) and Hayden Michele (granddaughter).

She is survived by her life partner, Willie Collins (fiancé), sister Terri Schofield, 1st husband Stacy Louis, her daughter Stephanie M. Bennett, her sons Nick Collins, J.T. Collins, Owen Troupe and Travis Bennett, (as well as their significant others), grandchildren Destinee Collins, Jo’Lee Collins, Alaina Bennett, Brayden Bennett, Kelson Collins, Kamryn Collins, Kristian Collins, Kylar Collins and Natalie Troupe, as well as man many children and grandkids that she considered her own.

Becky received her nursing degree in 1974, and after a long wonderful career as a pediatric nurse, she retired due to her own medical issues and to take care of her mother. She was an avid reader, who loved the beach and dolphins, so much so that her favorite NFL team was the Miami Dolphins. More than anything Becky loved to help people and spend as much of her time as possible with family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Wednesday, March 13th, followed by a service at 7pm, at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road Midlothian, VA 23113.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Rebecca “Becky” Louis.
