

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Henry Wright and Allan Paxton; and his step-mom Ruth Ann Hutchinson; Reid is survived by his mother, Katherine Wright of Richmond; and his father; Robert Hutchinson of Amelia, VA; his sister, Kara Hutchinson of Amelia, VA; his grandparents Smith and Faye Hutchinson of Amelia, VA, Grace Paxton of Chesterfield, VA and many cousins and extended family.
Reid had many talents and interests. Growing up he loved go-carts, four wheelers, bicycles and he was a fearless skateboarder. He was a gifted self-taught mechanic with a perpetual project. His most prized possessions were his tools. He could lay block, swing a hammer, drive a tractor, bale hay and tend cattle. He loved and studied nature and wildlife and enjoyed fishing and kayaking. He adored music of all genres and often wrote his own song lyrics. He was known for his extraordinary 3-D drawings, and he was a voracious audiobook listener.
Reid was also a tech geek. He liked to build computers and write code for fun. He was a video gamer since childhood and had long time video gamer friends throughout the US and around the world. He loved a good practical joke. He was a loyal friend and went out of his way to help others.
He is now at peace in the arms of Jesus.
A memorial service will be held Thursday May 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113
