He was born February 16, 1943 in Ashland, Ky. He served four years in the Air Force and then went on to graduate from East Carolina University in 1970. He then moved to Norfolk, Va., where he met and married his love, Anne, in 1971. They moved to Richmond in 1972 where they raised their two children and made a happy life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane; and sister, Jo Marie. Bob is survived by his wife, Anne; his children, Kevin and Cynthia Anne (Peter); and his five grandchildren, Jackson, Cooper, Cora, Paige and Lucy Anne; brother, Justin (Sue); and sister, Susan Bevan (David).
He will be remembered for his quick wit and love of his family.
The family will receive friends 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel with a service to follow in the chapel.
