HATCH, Robin Thorpe, of Richmond, Va., died August 5, 2016. He was born on August 10, 1946 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was preceded in death by his father, Elliot Hatch; and his mother, Ruth Hatch. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Kathy Green; and his two precious grandsons, Shaughn and Trevar Green.
Robin served as a Private in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a graduate of Bernard Baruch College and earned his master's in Taxation and Accounting at Long Island University. He worked in tax at the New York Times and then at MeadWestvaco as a manager for non-income taxes for over 20 years. He will be most remembered for his passion for tennis, love of John Wayne movies, over the top Rocky Balboa dance moves, his infectious laugh and love for his family.
Visitation will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Woody's Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Richmond, with a memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robin's memory can be made to CurePSP, psp.org/donate/ways-to-give.html.
