Samuel Calhoun (“Sam” or “Sammy”) Jordan, was welcomed into his heavenly home on Sunday, August 14th, 2016, after a hard fought battle with cancer. He has now won the victory, being welcomed home by his parents Sam and Eleanor.
Sam is lovingly remembered by his wife Elizabeth, children Sarah, Cal, and Rebecca, his sisters Rachel Mead and Ruth Hooker (Jim), and their daughters, as well as a host of friends and family whose lives have been touched by this gentle man.
He was a coach and mentor to many and will be remembered for his sense of humor, his generosity, his love of family, his compassion and selflessness.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 18th from 5-8 pm at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel. A celebration of Sam’s life will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church at 9600 Midlothian Turnpike, N Chesterfield, VA at 11am on Friday, August 19th.
