Sarah H. Wells

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff C. Wells. She was the only child of Victor and Virgie Hedgebeth. Sarah is survived by their daughter Anna W. Skeen, her husband, W. Morris Skeen and her beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Courtney Skeen.

Sarah was born July 13, 1928 in Holland (Suffolk) VA and had a blessed childhood growing up on the family peanut farm. She attended Longwood College. She and Jeff were married in 1950. She was a devoted and talented homemaker, first in Norfolk, then Virginia Beach before permanently moving to Richmond in 1965.

She enjoyed golf, (they were founding members of Stonehenge Golf and CC), working in her yard, traveling, the beach in Southern Shores on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

The family will hold a graveside service on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2pm at the Holland Municipal Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
