Shirley Ann Van Giesen

VanGiesen, Shirley Ann, 73, of Richmond, formerly of Arlington, Texas, went to be with the Lord June 21, 2014. She was a retired employee from Doskocil Manufacturing after many years of service in Arlington, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville VanGiesen; three brothers, William, Arthur Lee and John W. Harrell; and her special friend, Edith Trent "Peaches." She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Burke; son, Barry VanGiesen; two brothers, Jack Harrell and his wife, Christine, and Robert Harrell and his wife, Kathy; two sisters, Elizabeth Emory and Geneva M. Rushworth and her husband, Joe; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Harrell, Angelina Harrell and Liz Mopin; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and her beloved friend, Charlotte F. Harris. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., and where services will be held Friday, June 27, at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington, Texas.
