ROBERSON, W. Steve, 70, of Midlothian passed peacefully on November 13, 2013. Steve was bright, generous, athletic, ornery, funny, direct, loving, a Tar Heel, and good. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Allen Roberson and Estelle Faulkner Roberson; a sister, Mary Ann Roberson; and his brother, Stanley Allen Roberson. Sharing his memory, are his wife and partner of 47 years, Edie Shoemaker Roberson; sister, Joan Roberson Adams (Jimmy); daughter, Beth Roberson Paul (Sheldon); son, Chris Roberson (Gracie); son, Scott Roberson (Amy); grandchildren, Jack and Sydney Roberson; and a host of in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation is Sunday, November 17, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian. A service for the celebration of Steve's life is Monday, November 18, 11 a.m., also at Woody Chapel, with Steve's nephew, the Rev. Steve Roberson, officiating, followed by interment at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Rd. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to The American Heart Association.
