Wendy Rene Cooley of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022. She was predeceased in death by her husband, James Steven Cooley. She is survived by her children Isabelle Rene Cooley and James Russell Cooley; stepmother of James Steven (Lisa) Cooley, Jr. and Lindsay Michelle (Wade) Grammer; step-grandchildren Lena Grammer, and Connor Grammer. Survivors include her parents Harry and Jeanette Hitechew; sister Kimberly Lynn (Russ) Stone. She is also survived by a host of extended family, special aunt and uncle, Rebecca and Donald Martin, favorite cousin, Neely Martin Crum and special friend, Gayle Breeden Gray.
She was born in Richmond, Virginia on August 10, 1968 and attended St. Margaret’s School and graduated from Marymount High School. She graduated magna cum laude with a Biology degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from The Catholic University.
Wendy worked as a Nurse at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital Joint Replacement and Orthopedics/Joint Replacement Unit for over twenty years.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel on Saturday, April 30th from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
