ELLIS, Wilbur Edward “Ed”, Jr., 66, of Richmond, died November 15, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Ellis; and his sister, Cheryl Ellis. Survivors include his wife of nearly 40 years, Paula Tunstall Ellis; daughters, Courtney Spence (Eddie) and Kimberley Allen (J.R.); his father, Wilbur E. Ellis; brother, Gary Ellis (Susan); grandchildren, Dyson and Claire Spence, and Danner and Parker Allen, all of whom affectionately referred to him as “PopPops”; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ellis was a member of the Thomas Jefferson High School Cadet Corps and served honorably as a 1st Lieutenant Ranger in the U.S. Army. His remains rest at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (today) and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Diabetes Association or the Thomas Jefferson High School Cadet Corps Alumni Association, 200 N.
