HAMLETT, William Taylor "Bill," 86, went home to be with the Lord. August 10, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma C. Hamlett. He is survived by two daughters, Marie Seay (Brian) and Cynthia Gerometta; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Dillon; brother-in-law, Hershel Carter (Jean); sisters-in-law, Shirley Andrews (Fred), Audrey Carter (George, deceased), Carolyn Carter (Wayne, deceased); numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Bill served for 21 years in the U.S. Army. He retired as a Food Service instructor at Ft. Lee. He went on to work for the Holiday Inn for 23 years. He loved the Lord and was a longtime active member of Bon Air Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to the Bon Air Baptist Endowment Fund in his memory.
