William Claude Russ, Sr. "Bill," of Richmond, Va., passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Wilcox Russ; three brothers, and one sister. He is survived by three children, Joseph Russ (Diane), Betsy Frazier (Doug), Bill Russ (Cindy); grandchildren, Kamaran, Mark, Adam, Caris and Sierra. Bill graduated from Seminary with a Master's Degree in Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry and served 50 years as a Baptist minister. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Huguenot Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 22, at 11 a.m. at Chester Baptist Church, 4317 W. School St., Chester, Va. 23831. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chester Baptist Church, Special Project Fund.
