I knew something was amiss when Pat and I didn't receive a Christmas Card from Betty that day.  I am Betty's First Cousin one removed.  I waqs a Marine Officer and knew Betty and Tom while we were both stationed in Hawaii in 1957 and 1958.  I was not married at the time and frequently went to the beach at Bellows AFB with Betty and Tom and and the boys .  I remember having Easter dinner with Betty and Tom and one of the boys and his family in 1997 while enroute to an Aunts funeral in Springfield, IL.  I will never forget Betty and Tom!

Bob, Tom and Families this is a special time of the year for all and I know you will be cherishing lots of memories that all of you shared together. I came into the family late with Alvin but your dad and mom became part of the family for me. Being with them and telephone calls means more and bunches to me than I can say. I knew Betty when I was a child over 70 years ago and while I only  saw her as an adult doing business at TinkerAFB  I will never forget her. She was my mother's first cousin and we went to our Aunt Etta's home in Hillsboro, Ill for many family gettogethers. Her parents, Aunt Flora and Uncle Ed Wright will always remain pleasant memories also. Rest in peace, Betty, now you and Tom are back together forever,

I loved her like a second mother.  We met as volunteers as the Base Hospital in 2004 where she had a kind word for and about everyone.  She will be greatly missed and I'm glad to have known her and have Betty enrich mine and my husband Rick's lives.  LOVE YOU, BETTY!

I can't believe I'll never see her smiling face again or enjoy her zest for life.  Will miss you Betty.  My deepest sympathy to the family.
