Catherine Jonelle Conover

Catherine Jonelle Conover passed away peacefully Sunday Dec. 2, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Cromel J. Watts & Nelle Davis, husband Donald S. Conover, daughter in law Maria Conover & 2nd husband, Reggie Fry. She is survived by 6 children, David, Donna, Dan, John, Charley & Don Cononver, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Born Oct. 19, 1920 in Rosendale, MO. She became an accomplished musician and graduate of what is now Northwest Missouri State University. She taught school in Missouri, Iowa & Arizona and led the Pima Arizona High School Marching Band until marrying Don Conover in 1952. As a Navy wife she began raising a family while traveling and living on both coasts and settling in MWC in 1962. She was politically active & a faithful Christian. After Don passed in 1974 she worked at Tinker AFB until retiring in 1982. She married her 2nd husband Reggie Fry in 1990 and was widowed again in 2002. She will be remembered as a wise teacher, loyal wife & loving mother. Her spiritual strength and independence will inspire us always. Services will be Monday, 2pm at Sooner Baptist Church in MWC. We love you Mom & miss you already. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (Alzheimer’s Research)
