Geneva Darlene Darlene Alvis

Geneva Darlene (Spurlock) Alvis, the devoted mother of Stephanie Maxine (Spurlock) Denney, and the mother –in-love of Terri (Spurlock) Johnson, Denise (Spurlock) Kemker, Daniel Alvis, and Darin Alvis was a loving heart who became a Motherly figure to those fortunate enough to know and be known by her. She was nonjudgmental, kind and generous to a fault, and loved by all. Darlene was preceded in death by her mother and father, the love of her life: Buddie Spurlock, her “match made in heaven” David Alvis, and her granddaughter Whitney Johnson-Nagy and joins all those many loved ones in heaven. She referred to herself as a “tough ol’bird”, and this is accurate: from the young age of 33, she began her battle with Breast Cancer and fought like a champ intil she could fight no more, at the age of 61.
