Herbert Horne Sr.

Herbert Liles Horne, a long time resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the age of 92. Mr. Horne was born May 30, 1922 in Milford, TX to Herbert Carthage Horne and Leila Druscilla Liles Horne. Mr. Horne enlisted in the U.S. Army, served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European Theater during WWII, and retired from the USAF as a MSgt after more than 25 years of total service. Subsequent to his military service, Mr. Horne worked in insurance and real estate. He enjoyed traveling, and led his family across the country on many memorable adventures. He was a Mason, & member of the VFW and the American Legion. Mr. Horne is survived by Tammy Leann Horne of Dallas, Texas, Pamela Marilyn Holman of Southlake, Texas, Herbert Liles Horne, Jr., of Midwest City, Helen Lee Horne of Midwest City, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Paylor Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
