Margaret Merrill Bowman

Margaret Merrill Bowman, 100, of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away April 9, 2016. She was born August 19, 1915 in Memphis, Tennessee to Lloyd Riggs and Emma (Volkmar) Merrill. As a young woman, Margaret married the love of her life, John C. Bowman, and after World War II, they settled in Midwest City. The two were happily married until his death in 1990. Margaret worked for many years as a personal shopper for John A. Brown, CO before retiring. In her spare time, she enjoyed collecting stamps, crossword puzzles, and was a voracious reader. Margaret also loved doing needlework and many of her friends received Christmas skirts and stockings as gifts from her. She enjoyed making any Christmas décor. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother. She is survived by her close friends and neighbors that loved her dearly.
