

Mary Alan Norman, 75 year old resident of Nicoma Park, passed away December 16, 2015, peacefully with her husband by her side. Mary was born September 20, 1940 to Clarence A. and Mary Evelyn (Scurlock) Parks in Centerville, Iowa.
Mary was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed music, especially county, bluegrass and gospel. A highlight of her life was seeing Elvis in Des Moines as a young woman. She loved traveling all over the country with her husband wearing her signature brightly colored clothing. She loved to garden and had a green thumb. She was an excellent homemaker and will be remembered for her dry wit, her sense of humor and that grin and look in her eye. She loved her family and they were very important to her and they will miss her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Norman Parks.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Norman; eight children, Edward Arnold Norman of Davenport, IA, Steven Leroy Norman of Rock Island, IL, Jeffery Lynn Peffers of Oklahoma City, Brenda K. Norman of Davenport, IA, Gayle A. Masa of Knocksville, IA, Susan Lux of South Dakota, Charles C. Norman of Milan, IL, Roxeanne Davis of Davenport, IA; a sister, Melynda Korsmo of East Moline, IL; one brother, Michael Parks of Phoenix, AZ; numerous children, grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM, Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Paylor Family Funeral Chapel in Midwest City with interment to follow in the Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, OK. Cory Norman will officiate.
The family would like to thank the Wolf Living Center for the love and care they showed Mary.
