Andrew Nielson Black (Andy to friends) age 48, passed away December 7, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born January 16, 1968 in Denver, Colorado to Kent and Virginia Black. He attended Olympus High School and the University of Utah and received his masters at the University Of California in San Diego, California. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Our much loved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away at home. He was loved by all, especially children, because he was a big kid at heart. He was an avid Ute fan and loved visiting the Blanding area. He served an LDS Mission in Pusan, Korea and loved the people of that area. We love you Andrew and we will miss you.
Andrew is survived by his mom, Virginia Black, and his sisters Julie and Jane. He was preceded in death by his dad, Kent Black and older brother, Joe.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 14th at 1:00PM at the LDS Chapel on 3900 South and 2000 East. There will be a viewing prior from 11:30AM to 12:45PM at the same location. Interment will be at Elysian Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, Utah.
