In loving memory of Ann Parkinson Manning, a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She passed away on February 22, 2022. Ann was born in Holladay, Utah on September 17, 1935 to Albert and Afton Parkinson.
Ann graduated from Granite High and attended Brigham Young University. After meeting her sweetheart Olean Hess Manning on a blind date they married in the Salt Lake Temple on June 1, 1955. They were lovingly married for 55 years before Hess passed away.
Their children are Cynthia Ritz, Mark (Karen) Manning, Chad (Jana) Manning, Patrice (Shannon) Ynchausti, and Douglas Manning.
Ann loved music. She played the piano and taught many students to play over the years. She enjoyed reading and cooking. Most of all, Ann loved being with her family. They took many trips to Yellowstone camping and motorcycling.
Ann worked for many years at the Granite School District and the University of Utah Hospital.
Ann was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She and Hess served a mission at the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center where they had many wonderful experiences and made lifelong friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hess Manning, her sons Mark and Douglas, and her great-granddaughter Addilyn.
Ann is survived by 3 children, 12 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of the Beehive House who provided loving care for many years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022. The viewing will be held between 9am-9:45am followed by the funeral services at 10am at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial. 3401 South Highland Drive
