Anthony Michael Colosimo, our beloved son and brother, 28, passed away on January 13th, 2019 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Anthony was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Elly J. Paulos and the late Ralph L. Colosimo.
A lifelong learner, Anthony was passionate about education and dedicated to sharing his love of teaching with students of all ages. Anthony graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Utah, followed by achieving a Master's of Eduction in 2014 from the University of Southern California. Anthony also spent time studying at St. Andrews University in Scotland. In 2019, Anthony would have completed his PhD, a culmination of his life commitment to academic workand the beginning of a new chapter as an educator.
More than his incredible academic achievements, Anthony will be remembered as a loving son, supportive brother, and wonderful friend to all who knew him. Anthony generously shared his talents with many communities, including the Greek Orthodox Youth Programs of Salt Lake City, a cause close to his heart. His selfless spirit, bright mind, and sense of humor were loved by all.
Full of life and dry, witty humor, Anthony was always playing video games when he was not working on his academic pursuits. He loved playing as a healer in Overwatch, and was the smartest person you would ever meet.
Anthony could always be counted on for fun quotes, sharing lines from his various favorite TV shows and movies, including Harry Potter, Friends, Big Business, A League of Their Own, and his ultimate favorite, The Golden Girls.
A viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park at 3401 South Highland Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah on Wednesday, January 16th from 6-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a GoFundMe Account setup to support his life celebration services. A private family service to follow.
