Beatrice Davis Lee was born on January 31, 1920 to Lonnie and Irene Davis. She married James Lee on July 1, 1946. They had 8 children. Her husband preceded her in death on July 1, 1994. On January 28, 2018, at the age of 98, Beatrice quietly slipped away to be with the Lord.
Beatrice strived to reach the top of every challenge that came her way. She attended night school to receive her GED while working at the V.A Hospital. She remained at the VA until her retirement as a supervisor.
Beatrice accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She was a long-time member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and was active in several auxiliaries. She was most excited when she worked as a Deaconess and participated in the Mission Department.
Beatrice was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Queen Esther Chapter #2 in Salt Lake City, and held several offices, including The Golden Circle Past State Loyal Lady Ruler.
Our beloved mother loved family life, and was very proud of her 5-generation family. She was a great supporter of her children with whatever task they decided to take. Her favorite things to do were fishing, working in her yard, and traveling. The only thing she loved more than fishing was decorating her yard for any and every holiday… especially Christmas. You could see the pink house on the corner shining and twinkling bright as the lights in her eyes while she cooked enough food to feed an army.
Beatrice Lee was proceeded in death by her husband, her parents, 1 son, 2 grandsons, 1 great grandson, 1 great-great-grand daughter, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
She leaves 7 children to cherish her memories: Robbie (AB Walls), Lonnie Artist, Henrietta Artist, Veaster (Ivory) White, Doriena Lee, Verna (Randy) Bybee, Harry (Wendy) Lee. In addition, she leaves 31 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, 38 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
