I have written this because I wanted those who read it to know what has been important to me throughout my life.
I loved the date of my birth, December 20, 1924. I considered it my special day and loved to celebrate it with my family and friends. I rarely let any of them forget the date.
I was born into a loving family. My parents were Ernest and Ruby Hendry Hauser. I had two older sisters, Leona Sheppick, and Fay Morgado. All deceased.
I attended the following schools: Onegua, Jackson Jr. High, and I graduated from West High School in 1942.
I married Orin Stutznegger, my childhood sweetheart and love of my heart, on June 1, 1943, in the Salt Lake Temple. We shared 54 wonderful years. He passed away on July 12, 1995. This was the saddest day of my life.
We had three children: Julie (John) Kolar, and Scott Stutznegger. (We lost a premature baby, Lorin. A very sad day.) Both Julie and Scott have been so good to me through the years, each in their own special way. They were especially attentive after their father passed away.
John Kolar was a wonderful son-in-law. We were blessed with two grandsons, Johnik Kolar, who faithfully called me each week; Andy Kolar, who was always ready to help. Both did very thoughtful things for me. One granddaughter, Lee Stutznegger (Garrett) Michael. Lee has been a wonderful granddaughter. We made wonderful memories together on her annual summer visits to me. I always thought that I was a great-grandmother, and at this writing, on February 27, 2015 it was confirmed, Lee gave me my first great-grandchild. A beautiful boy, Kell Evan Michael. I was further blessed with the addition of Hunter Loren Michael, my second great-grandson. I loved being a grandma and I want to be remembered for being a fun loving grandma, and “GG”. As a family, we all had wonderful times together. Even though my family didn’t live in Utah, I always felt their support. Bless You.
I was also blessed with two step-grandchildren, Kelly Kolar (Steve) Valin, and Amy Kolar (Phil) Wiser, and great-grandchildren Kell and Hunter Michael. My grandchildren were a great joy in my life. Each of them brought something very special to brighten my days.
I have also been blessed with many nieces and nephews who have been kind to me: Lane and Laurel Sheppick, and their daughter, Tricia, who was always eager to help me through years. I wish to acknowledge those who I termed, ‘Frelatives: Brette and Curt Goddard, who were dear, caring friends, who have come to my aid at an instance notice, how I appreciate them and their love for me. Jean & “St. Paul” Low were always there to help.
On April 30, 2005, I married Ralph T. Kimball, a wonderful man who has filled my life with deep love and kindness. We helped each other through our later years with love and caring.
I also want to thank Ralph’s children and (their children) for their kindness to me. Steven (Margot) Kimball, Randy (Becky) Kimball, and Karen (Larry) Bradford. They truly treated me like family. Each one special to me and I appreciated their help in times of need.
My hope is that when you see a full moon drenching the country side in moonlight; when you see the newly fallen snow glittering in the sun; when you see a tree branch laden with blossoms, or snow; and when you hear the strains of a romantic “40’s” tune---that makes you want to dance cheek to cheek, (I loved to dance, especially to the “Big Band Sound”) ---you will think of me. And last, but not least add the softness and sweetness of a new born baby, like my new grandbabies.
I want it known that I had a firm testimony of God the Father, and his son, Our Savior, Jesus Christ. I appreciated the many prayers they answered, also the strength and courage I received when the answer was “no.
