Brent Radcliff Nelson

He was born on February 13, 1967, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and lived a life centered on family, hard work, and helping others.

After graduating from Olympus High School, Brent married his high school sweetheart, Stacey, on August 26, 1986, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He later earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Utah and built a successful career in finance and information technology.

Brent and Stacey raised their five children in Centerville, Utah, where they taught them the importance of hard work and responsibility. Later in life, Brent moved to his home on the mountain in Wellsville, a place he loved and took great pride in.

Brent enjoyed working in his yard, planting trees, and always finding ways to make the world around him a little more beautiful. He had a genuine passion for finance and could often be found working on a spreadsheet or fine-tuning a budget. Family and friends knew they could always count on him for financial advice and a sarcastic perspective. Wherever Brent went, his faithful companion dog, ‘Sue’, was usually close by.

In 2017, Brent married Catherine, and together they enjoyed traveling between Utah and Canada to spend time with their growing family. More than anything, Brent loved being a grandfather. Whether it was a four-wheeler ride, an outdoor adventure, pillow fight, or one of his famous toilet paper parties, he created memories that his grandchildren will cherish for years to come.

Brent is survived by his wife, Catherine Nelson; his mother, Donna Nelson; his children, Joshua, Alexandrea, Kelsey, McClane, and Elijah; and Catherine's children, Ashley, Jenni, Kyle, and Lauren. He also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stacey Nelson.

A Graveside Service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, UT 84106, US, on June 6, 2026, at 11:00 am.

Brent’s final resting place will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Dr, Millcreek.
