Raised in Salt Lake City, UT, Bruce attended Granite High School and graduated with the Class of 1976. From those early years forward, he carried himself with a steady, gentle way of being—approaching life with quiet strength, an open manner, and an ease that made others feel welcome.
Over the course of his working life, Bruce applied himself with consistent dedication. He held many careers, including work as a motorcycle mechanic, and was especially known for his time in Environmental Services at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. In every role, he was dependable and diligent, bringing pride to honest work and offering help readily when it was needed.
Bruce found deep enjoyment in the outdoors. He loved camping and spending time in nature, and he also had a special affection for cats. Alongside these interests, he served as a Boy Scout for many years, giving his time in a spirit of service and steady commitment.
Those who knew Bruce will remember not only his kindness and willingness to lend a hand, but also the lightness he brought with him. His humor was never far away—an easy, welcome presence that could soften a hard day and draw people together.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Mary H Sagers; and his brother, Neil Wallace Sagers. He was preceded in death by his father, George Alvin Sagers; and his brothers, Gary Alan Sagers and David Leland Sagers.
