Carolyn Ruth Saldivar

A woman of unconditional love as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on January 9, 2013.

Kelly was born February 26, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Daniel E. and Ruth Lomax Thomas. She graduated from South High in 1958. Kelly married Julian Sam Saldivar on December 4, 1959, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They were married for 53 years.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and the Zeta Masters, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She worked at ZCMI in women's fashion for many years. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, camping, dining out, dancing, shopping or off galivanting. Her greatest joy was her family.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Sam; their three children Thomas (Cheryl), Kristy (Gary) Godwin, and Kimberly (Russ) Allen; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Beverly and Kathleen; and many other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 12 pm, on Monday, January 14 at the Rose Park Stake Center, 760 N. 1200 W. SLC. A viewing at the church will be held at 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Sunday, Dec. 13 (eastside) and 10:45 -11:45 am, prior to the services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
