Cory Andrew Kellogg was born on December 25, 1977, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Jane Erasmus and Richard Kellogg. Cory passed away on September 23, 2026, in Murray, Utah, following complications from a fall.
Cory was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and devoted dog dad to Chucky “Flowerpockets” and Peach. He found joy in cooking and took great pride in preparing meals for family and friends. An admirer of chef Alton Brown, Cory was always entrusted with the main dish at holiday gatherings, serving perfectly prepared turkey, pot roast, or ham that became a cherished part of family celebrations.
He was also a fan of Dolly Parton and Whitney Houston, a devotion inspired in large part by his mother, who loved both performers. Cory shared a special bond with his father, spending time together on road trips throughout Colorado and the Pacific Northwest, creating memories he treasured throughout his life. He also traveled with his father and nephew to the Northeast to visit family, spending time in Boston, MA and Kennebunk, Maine.
Cory had a fondness for pickup trucks and was especially proud of his silver Nissan Frontier. He attended Apollo High School, where he enjoyed mathematics, and later attended Glendale Community College, earning an Associate's Degree in General Studies with an emphasis on computer technology.
One of Cory’s proudest accomplishments was earning an additional certification as a pharmacy technician. He dedicated nearly 20 years to the profession, most recently working for PharMerica. He was known for the care, precision, and attention to detail he brought to his work every day, earning the respect of colleagues.
Cory cherished his relationships with his brother and sister. Together, they spent hours reminiscing about their childhood in Arizona, sharing stories of time spent with grandparents, parents, and lifelong friends. They also fondly recalled visits with extended family in Illinois. They all shared a joint love of certain family specialties from Poland and Germany such as kolachy cookies and pork, dumplings, and sauerkraut.
Of all his family relationships, Cory was especially proud of his nephews and niece. He shared a particularly close bond with his nephew Brady, who was near to him in age. The two spent many hours discussing politics, the importance of voting, popular culture, and movies.
Cory was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jane Kellogg. He is survived by his sister, Erin (Aaron) Kirshman, and their children, Brady, Gage, and Justice; his brother, Ryan (Andrea) Kellogg, and Ryan’s son, Jacob; as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the trauma team and staff at Intermountain Medical Center for the compassionate care they provided to Cory during his final days.
Cory’s kindness, loyalty, quiet calm, and love for his family will be remembered always. There is not a memory of him ever being angry or upset with any of his family members; it just wasn't his nature. He will be deeply missed and gone far too soon.
