David Stewart Edwards, Jr., born August 11, 1939, completed his mortal mission on March 17, 2019. He has been joyfully reunited with his parents, David and Grace (Mitchell) Edwards, sisters Pamela Llewellyn and Nancy (Jean) Maybre, and many loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife Chris; daughter Debbie (Rick) Kelperis; stepdaughters Tiffany Aragon and Melissa Unander; granddaughters Sarah (Kevin) Spencer, Laura (James) Hart, and Madison Ellis; and five beautiful great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his three kitty kids, Scooter, Skipper, and Skeeter.
As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Dave and Chris were blessed to be able to serve an inner-city mission in the Pioneer 25th Ward in downtown Salt Lake City. Dave proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960 on the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge as a telecommunications specialist. During his career in telecommunications, he had the opportunity to live in Hong Kong and Germany for a time.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to all of you who loved and served Dave, especially in these last three years. Our heartfelt thanks and love to our friends and family for your compassionate love and service.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019, with a graveside service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Services will held at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
