David C Leavitt

David C Leavitt, born on September 6, 1958, in Denver, Colorado, passed away on October 12, 2025, surrounded by family. David struggled with multiple health issues for far too long. Dave was a shining light in the lives of family, friends, and those who knew him. His passing has left a hole in our hearts.

David is survived by his siblings. Sister Becky (Tom), brother Jeff (Sandra-deceased), and brother John (Tracy). Nephews Bryce Leavitt, Curtis Leavitt, Max Leavitt, and Eli Leavitt. Nieces Zoey Leavitt and Riley Leavitt. He was preceded in death by his parents Ona L. Leavitt and Ruthann Johns Leavitt, and sister-in-law, Sandra.

Dave graduated from Olympus High School and later attended Utah Technical College in Salt Lake. He graduated in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning with High Honors. After graduation he worked for Mount Olympus Waters. Dave enjoyed driving and later spent a big part of his working career as a courier for several services, large and small, in the Salt Lake area. Near the end of his career, he moved into retail and worked for Tandy Leather.

David had a wide variety of hobbies that included motorcycle rides, fishing, hunting, swimming, County Rec and Church Softball, leather work, repairing and collecting clocks and watches, and solving crossword puzzles.

Graveside funeral services will be held on October 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah. Family will be available at 12:15 PM for anyone that would like to visit prior to services.
