Dorothy Lyle Ruff Minson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on December 5, 2014. Born August 23, 1938 to Lyle C Ruff and Emma E Porter. Dorothy is a devoted disciple of Christ. She is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A dignified lady in every sense of the word, she personified integrity with a wicked sense of humor. Dorothy’s gift as a mother extended far beyond her family. All who knew her felt her love and knew the warmth of her marvelous smile and delightful laugh. Her family came first, but she made sure no one went away hungry, cold, unloved or uncared for. “What can I get you?” is a question all who knew Dorothy heard on many occasions.
As beloved wife and companion, she stood beside Kenneth Lynn Minson for 57 years. She had 6 children, 22 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren whom she loved completely and who she taught to love one another. A woman of many talents, she was the perfect hostess and her cooking was legendary. Her legacy is that of a good and faithful servant of the Lord. We miss her and know we will be with her again. Thank Heavens!
She is survived by her sisters, Maxine (David) Record and Shirley Jones as well as her husband Kenneth, children Scott (Cindy) Minson, Jeffrey (Emma) Minson, Lynnette (Kenneth) McBride, Leslie (Greg) Heninger, Kristin (Craig) Barnes, Spencer (Heidi) Minson, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Ruff.
