Dorothy was born on June 10th, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Samuel Willard Potts and Sarah Evelyn Wilkinson Potts.
Dorothy was a wonderful, loving, kind person and a devoted mother, grandmother, and wife.
Her Husband, Fred Taylor, was a decorated World War II Veteran. They were happily married for many years until he passed away in 1992.
She cherished her family and her loving influence had a profound effect on their lives. They love her dearly.
She loved nature, wildlife, and particularly birds. She contributed much to their preservation. Mom also loved to travel. Road trips, fishing trips, and camping throughout the West to places of natural beauty was something she did often and enjoyed deeply with her family.
She loved her association with dear friends, siblings, and their families as well as various pets that became beloved members of our family.
Dorothy loved the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an active member. Both of her sons served as missionaries. She followed and exemplished the teachings of Jesus Christ in her long life and touched the lives of many people accordingly.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Rodney Fred Taylor and Clinton Arthur Taylor, as well as two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Fred Taylor; her parents, Samuel Willard Potts and Sarah Evelyn Wilkinson Potts; and all eight of her siblings.
We will always miss her loving kindness, warm smile, and cheerful sweet spirit.
A graveside service for Dorothy will be held Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah 84106.
