Earlene Hale

1925-2017

Earlene Atkinson Hale, passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on January 1, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Earlene was born on March 9, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Earl and Leona Peterson Atkinson. Earlene attended Utah State University where she met her lifelong love, Homer Leon Hale. Earlene and Homer were married on June 10, 1947. Her husband, Homer proceeded her in death in 2005. Earlene is survived by her children, Michael Leon Hale (Lynda), Kathryn Hale Moe (Tracy), and Jennifer Hale Carlisle (Scott). Earlene had 7 grandchildren (one preceded her in death), and 7 great-grandchildren. Earlene was an avid horticulturist and president of the Utah Associated Garden Clubs. Earlene and Homer traveled extensively throughout their lives to Mexico, Italy, China, Korea, Thailand and Scandinavia. Earlene loved to fish, garden, and spend time with many lifelong friends. Earlene will be interned at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park next to her husband on January 6, 2017.
