Eda Elaine Rasmussen Iverson, age 93 passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 in Salt Lake City. She was born June 12, 1919 to Albert and Marian Rasmussen.
Eda was married to James Deese. They later divorced.
She married Wendell Iverson August 31, 1957. She would tell you one of the happiest days of her life was the day she was sealed for time and all eternity to Wendell at the Salt Lake Temple, August 16, 1963.
Eda and Wendell loved to travel, fish, hunt, and play cards together; along with their family and friends. They were also devoted fans to the Utah Jazz and BYU Football and Basketball teams. If there was game on you would see them both in front of the TV, cheering them on.
Eda was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mt. Olympus 9th Ward, where she held several callings and had many friends. She was happy to retire from her job at the Veterans Hospital and enjoyed spending more time with Wendell. She was a meticulous homemaker and wonderful chef who loved her home.
Wendell passed away in January 2011. It has been a long two years for Eda, missing her best friend and Sweetheart. We are sure there was a very sweet reunion early Sunday Morning and are very grateful that they are able to be together again.
Eda is preceded in death by her eternal sweetheart, Wendell, her parents, six sisters, two brothers and a granddaughter. Survivors include: children; Bobbie G. Deese, Lee W. Iverson (Joan), Dennis H. Iverson (Debbie), Corey B. Iverson (Patty), Carolyn Jacobs (Mike), several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held January 10, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Viewing prior to funeral (12:30 - 1:45). Interment, Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah
