Dear Sister Evans And Family,
Not having internet at home I wasn't able to send my love and thoughts before now.
Bishop Evans was very important in my life as well as my children's lives. 
I tended the children on occasion and enjoyed being in the home when I was a young girl. Their home was always warm and filled with Love.
He was a great and loving man to all who meet him. He was always so kind to my father and mother, Otto and Rosa, and watched over them at the ward we love so much. I'm sure that my parents were there to meet him along with his family as he went back home to our Father in Heaven. 
I ask our Heavenly Father to bless Sister Evans and the rest of his family,here, with comfort and peace.

I was saddened to learn of Ted's struggle and ultimate death.  He was my bishop.  He was my children's pediatrician.  He blessed my daughter Sheri.  He helped me obtain employment at Bryner Clinic, where I worked for five years.  Above all, he was a dear friend and I am grateful for his positive loving influence in my life.  The highest kingdom definitely awaits him.

Ted was a significant part of my life.  As a young pediatric resident I admired his skills as a physician and his relationships with his colleagues C. Elliot Richards and Elbert M. Dansie.  It has beenone of the great blessings of my life to have been invited to become one of his associates with Bryner Pediatrics.  He was always an example, a mentor, and a friend. He was an especial comfort to me at the time of my father's passing as he had been previously at the birth of our very special daughter--Melinda Faith--who also expresses her love and appreciation for him!  Thanks to his family for sharing him with so many others for so many years!

My deepest sympathy to the Evans Family on losing an amazing man. Dr Evans kindly served my family. He gently took care of my sister Kristy before her death. His kindness and compassion will always be remembered.

When I had my first baby, Dr. Evans became our doctor.  I have been grateful every day since that day.  He was always so kind and he listened to what I had to say.  He diagnosed one of my children with Kawasaki's disease the very first time we took her to him when she got sick.  Later I found out that a friend's child had Kawasak's disease about the same time and her doctor had never heard of it.  We are so grateful for the knowledge that Dr. Evans had and the kind and gentle way he helped our family.  As a young mother I learned to trust him and owe him a great deal.  I also want to thank you, his family, for all the many hours that he spent away from you helping others.  I am certain that at the judgement bar Dr. Evans will hear "Well done thou good and faithful servant".  To our family he was an Angel in a doctor's coat.  May the Lord bless and comfort all of you.

Cheryl and I send our sympathy at this time of grieving at the loss of our dear friend Dr. Ted Evans.  We enjoyed working with him in the Missionary Department where he made a tremendous contribution over many years. Dr. Evans was the pediatrician for both of my daughters.  He was always so kind and concerned about them and was always just a phone call away.  What a fine, loving man and the best doctor you could ask for.  May you be comforted and have peace at this difficult time.

Dr., Bishop, Father to one of my best childhood friends. He took care of me as a child, my 2 oldest children, his Garden Park Ward Family, as well as countless others. I spent a lot of time in his home, at the family cabin, and on family trips! He had a great sense of humor, and I always felt comfortable and welcome in his home. My family is saddened that the world has lost such a great man, but know that he will be very busy as he begins the next part of his journey.

I love Dr. Evans! He was my doctor during all of my childhood and he was always so kind, caring and smart!  He has been such a blessing to my entire family! Great educator, our family pediatrician while we were in training and military in Salt Lake. House calls, always willing and sharing. A remarkable example to our community and those he served. We love him and are better in medicine in so many ways because of his example.

Every member of the Evans family has been remarkable. Although we did not know Ted as well as others, we know his loss leaves a space that can only be filled by his unseen presence in works, teachings, thoughts, and memories left behind. Dr. Evans was a fantastic doctor.  He was my family's pediatrician while I and my 9 siblings were growing up.  I loved his sense of humor and caring demeanor, and he always had a smile for us.  I've thought of him often over the years.  Heaven is a brighter place now that he's up there.  Much love and peace to you and your family.

I loved Dr. Evans -- and so did my kids!  He was my pediatrician, as well as my beloved bishop, and I didn't even consider using anyone else for my children.  We were sad when he retired and we had to switch to someone else.

He was always so kind to our family and a comfort to my Mom when my Dad was sick for many years.  I'm so sorry that work and family responsibilities won't allow me to attend the viewing of funeral.  Please know that my thoughts are with you at this time.  May the Lord bless you with peace and happy memories at this trying time.

Dear Evans Family.  I am sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Evans.  He was our families pediatrician starting in 1963 with my older brother and continued to be with my children until he retired from the Bryner Clinic.   He always remembered the little details with all of us.  I always looked forward to our appointments with him.  He was a wonderful doctor and man.

Dear Evans family, after reading Doc's obituary and all the loving condolences I am overwhelmed with gratitude.  The memories are flooding in, the good Doc was my Doctor growing up to and although I was in GPII, I was on many a scout trip with Ted. I feel so fortunate that I grew up knowing the whole Evans clan, what a truly inspirational family. My deepest sympathy to Doc's family and many friends, and thank you for sharing Ted with us all.

I was honored to have my children taken care of by such a wonderful Doctor and person. Teaching his daughter Rose was a wonderful experience, and she was so talented.

Dr. Evans was a pleasure to work with at Bryner Clinic. He was often behind on his schedule because he invested so much time and interest in each and every patient. He was loved by many loyal families! Good memories.

   Dr. Evans was my pediatrician  when I was a little girl. He always knew his patient's names. He had a great bedside manner. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Evans Family,
I wanted you to know how very dear your, husband, father and grandfather was to our family.  Back when our  children were new and small, he was their Pediatrician.   I was a homemaker and my husband was laid off at Kennecott, it was during those years when they eventually closed it down for a time period.  Dr. Evans told me to always bring them in no matter what and to not worry about paying until my husband had acquired a new job.  He told us if he ever found we didn't bring them in when they were sick he would be mad at us. We will always appreciate him during that time period.  Actually I always appreciated him as our children loved him so.  We judged all our doctors by him.
When our oldest daughter was about two, if she had an ear ache she would tell us she wanted, Dr. Evans.  If we had to go to one his associates, she'd say, "no doctor (so and so) because he would hurt her ears when he was checking them, "I want Dr. Evans".  
You were very blessed to have such a fine husband/father/grandfather, and so were we to have such a fine doctor and friend.  We love him, Roy and Dauna Thomas

When I was a young child welfare social worker in the 1970's, Dr. Evans  would see  foster children and newborns prior to adoptive placement at no charge. He said billing Medicaid was more trouble than it was worth. I will never forget this significant gift of service. Many doctors would just refuse to see a child on Medicaid. He was a very dear man.

The Lynn and Catherine Jones family goes a long way back. We took our baby (Keith) to the Bryner Clinic and were told we would be seen by a new doctor in the clinic, Dr. Edmund Evans. He asked us where we lived. We told him we were in the process of moving to 1200 Harvard Avenue. He replied, Oh, You are going to be my neighbor right through the block. That was the beginning of a great friendship. He became our family doctor, bishop, our scout master.
Our sons will never forget the lessons Ted Evans taught them about the beauty of the world and life. Gloria, we love you and yourfamily.  Lynn and Catherin

Dr. Evans was our pediatrician for many years and spent many hours with us as we agonized over our oldest son who was asthmatic.  Once when we were there during the day, he ordered some lab work and I asked where I should go.  He gave me a strange look and said "that's right, you're usually only here between midnight and 4 a.m."  (I had no idea where the lab was).

On the day Ted's own father passed away, I called him--as a young scout--and asked if I could borrow a piece of outdoor gear. He said, today's not a good day. I said OK. He didn't tell me why. Three minutes later, he called me back and said to come over to the house. When I got there, he apologized, said that his father had passed away. He admitted he was struggling. And also said he thought about it for a minute and knew his dad would not want him to let down any scout. Another time, in the rainy Gros Ventre mountains in Wyoming, resting in a tent as thunder crashed around, Ted put his arm around me and told me and the other scouts fascinating stories about the natural world, and that he loved us. He inspired me. He was my pediatrician, my bishop, my scoutmaster, my teacher, my bishop again, my friend, my confidante, my advisor, my hero. He did so many kind, generous things for me and the Jones family. Like so many others, I've loved Doc for so long. What a truly great soul. Very heartfelt condolences to the Evans family. Love to you all. Thanks for sharing your husband and father with so many of us in such profound ways.

Dr. Evans not only was my Dr. But also took care of my children. He saved our sons live by realizing he had a rare vascular ring. He was an amazing man and was always willing to help his patients in any way. God bless you Dr. Evans. All our love The Holt Family

He will be missed. He sure taught me a lot when I was a scout.  At first I didn't care much for planning out scouting trips, but now I am always prepared!

Your words couldn't be true-er.  I always felt like Dr. Evans made me part of his family.  I saw him from the time I was born until I left for my mission in 1990- and he did my physical for free- One of the most caring men I've met.

Gloria, Edmund, Steven, Howard, Eric, Scott, Rose, I was shocked to hear about Edmund passing away. Edmund was a great person. I met the Evans Family at the Garden Park Ward, what a great family. Edmund was my Scout Master, he was a great Scout Master. He took us to the Grand Canyon and other places. I am glad I had the privilege of meeting Edmund and all his family. Edmund is no longer suffering, he is in a better place. I know how hard it is to lose a parent, I have lost both my Mom and Dad. I send my Sympathys and Condolences to you all. What a great partner.  I will never forget the time I asked Ted if he would take call for me as I had tickets for the University of Utah basketball game.  As always, he said yes.  Well, I got to the game, and could see Ted, also at the basketball game taking call for me.  I would never tell me that he was going to the game too.

Having known Ted thru Todd and Missy, I found him to be an honorable man worthy of respect. We had a connection through my sister whose baby daughter he saved after a difficult premature birth. Marybeth and I pray for a spirit of peace to be with  Scott, Sue and the family.

How I will miss Uncle Ted. He was my pediatrician, he was very wise. I will mis seeing him up at the family cabin, he was a delight to talk with. To the Evans family,
I grew up in Garden Park Ward.  Dr. Evans was my children's doctor untill we moved to Idaho.  I felt lost with out him.  He discoverd a problem with one of my sons and took care of it.  He was very friendly and loving.

I extend my good wishes and sympathy to the family.  Remember that time and good memories are great healers.  Remember to thank our Heavenly Father for the Plan of Salvation and for the gift of love we all share.

Dr. Evans was my pediatrician and even my oldest son's pediatrician for 2 years before he retired. I actually liked going to see the doctor because of his kind and happy manner. I enjoyed getting to know his daughter Rose a little bit while attending the University of Utah.  What a wonderful tribute the obituary was to a great man. Condolences to your family.

Ted was always helpfull when my children were ill. He always told me to even call him at home on a holiday when they were sick which I had to do one Christmas morning when one daughter had a strep throat.  I also remember him talking to the missionaries at the British reunion about his work with the missionaries when he and his wife were on mission at temple square. Dr. Evans was our family pediatrician.  He was so kind, funny, and knowledgeable. He was simply "the best of the best".  We loved him too.

Ted married my parents, was my doctor for my childhood, maybe still my most favorite doctor I have had. He was my Bishop who I loved very much. He is one of my favorite scout masters, I remember joking that he was the walking encyclopedia of wild plants and places. What a fiercely loving man, extremely generous, and a great friend to everyone. May he find great rest on the other side. I send my best to his family.
