Elizabeth Ann Hurst

Liz was born on August 11th, 1944, in Denver Colorado to Violet Clarice Bordigon and George Aycock.

Throughout her life Liz was known for her unwavering dedication to family, strong work ethic and commitment to serving others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (GIGI), sibling and friend, whose love, guidance and generosity enriched the lives of those who knew her.

Liz will be remembered not only for her devotion to family, but also for the many interests that brought her joy. She enjoyed puzzles and crossword games, was an avid fan of gymnastics and delighted in attending meets and remained a loyal Denver Broncos supporter throughout her life. She also had a deep love for gardening, especially tending to her prized roses, which flourished under her attentive care. These passions reflected her vibrant spirit and created lasting memories for all who knew her.

Liz is survived by her loving husband Phillip Hugh Hurst. They shared 45 years of marriage together. Also survived by her children, Shellie Josephson (Shawn), Troy Benefiel (Tammie) Dana Benefiel (Jeron), Grandchildren, Aubrey Diarte (Shai-an), Kaela Tafua (Nick), Jakob Josephson, Brianna Griffis (Jake), Kiki Benefiel, and Great Grandson, Toa Tafua.

Liz was preceded in death by her mother Violet Fillbach, brothers Ron Snow and Steve Snow, and sister Michelle Jaramillo and other extended family members.

Her family will forever treasure the love she shared, the wisdom she offered, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Her legacy will live on through the family she cherished and the many lives she enriched.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 20th from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary followed by a graveside service from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park 3401 S Highland Drive, Millcreek Utah. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate her life.

The family would like to express their profound gratitude to the caring neighbors who checked in, offered helping hands, provided meals and shared their friendship over the years. Special thanks to the caregivers and the hospice team, whose loving care, patience, and companionship enriched her days and provided comfort to both her and her family.
