

“Angie”
Our devoted and loving wife, mother and Yiayia, Evangeline “Angie” Petrogeorge, passed away February 23, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born September 7, 1926 in Hiawatha, Utah to Panteli & Argyro Kousterakis Georgelas. She married Manuel Chris Petrogeorge on June 7, 1948. She was a life-long member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Daughters of Minos Pan Cretan Association of America. Angie was a loving grandmother who never grew tired of playing with her grandchildren. Angie had a great passion and love of cooking for her family.
She was a dedicated employee of Pete Harmon’s Kentucky Fried Chicken for over 26 years, where she made numerous friends.
Angie was preceded in death by sisters; Kleanthi, Mary, Melva, Helen, Fro, brothers; Chris, Jim and Manny. She is survived by her beloved husband, sons; Chris (Irene), Peter (Gary), daughter; Pauline (Douglas) Jensen, grandchildren; Angela (John) Johns, Michael (Angela) Petrogeorge, George (Irene) Petrogeorge, Joni (Nick) Clark, David Petrogeorge, Kristina (George) Kokonis, Angela (Antonio) Ramirez, ten great-grandchildren, sisters; Alice Katsanevas and Connie Ligeros, brothers; John, Mathew, and George Kelaides, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff at Emeritus; especially Jill, Ramona, Melanie, Kelly and Curo/Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church, 5335 S. Highland Drive. The family will greet friends at a viewing, Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with the Trisagion at 7:00 pm. at Prophet Elias. Interment: Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
