Felene was intelligent, generous, caring, hilarious, and fierce. If she had your back, you were confident in taking on the world.
She spent 42 years at McDonnell Douglas and Boeing, a career she loved and excelled at. She was a force, meticulous, sharp, and deeply respected by everyone she worked with, and she took real pride in knowing that every airplane she had a part in was safer because of her. That role took her all over the world, and she cherished every bit of it: the work itself, the travel, and most of all the people she got to help along the way.
But nothing made her prouder than her son, Chris. She lit up every time she talked about him, and she talked about him often. Anyone who spent even a little time with Felene knew exactly how much she adored him and how deeply proud she was to be his mom.
Felene retired on her birthday this year and was looking forward to spending most of that time spoiling her young grandson, Avi. We are devastated that she doesn't get to fulfill her golden years.
Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Fawn Klaas. She is survived by her siblings, Shar (Jensen), Brandie, and Rob; her son, Chris; daughter-in-law, Natalia; and her grandson, Avi.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, UT 84106, US, on July 31, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Following the Celebration of Life, Felene will be interred at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
