

Floris Green Gren was called home to her Heavenly Father on Friday, May 20, 2016. She was born in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho to Brigham Ralph and Josephine Hansen Green on January 27, 1928. They later moved to Montana where Floris spent her childhood. She graduated from St. Ignatius High School, attended LDS Business College, and served in the East Central States Mission.
She met and married Carl Gren in 1955. They had six children and were later divorced.
In the years that followed, Floris worked hard to support her family and attended the technical college in Missoula Montana. Her family meant the world to her and she was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in the Primary and also as Relief Society Secretary for many years.
When her children were grown, Floris moved to Salt Lake City where she graduated from the Salt Lake Community College’s Skills Center. She worked as a computer operator for the Department of Workforce Services until she retired at the age of 80.
Floris was preceded in death by her parents, brother Pat, and infant daughter, Connie Lynn. She is survived by her brother Theo (Marian) Green of St.Ignatius, MT. Her children: Don (Lisa) Gren, Ted Gren and Carol (Bruce) Thompson all of Salt Lake City, UT. Kay (Kim) Bolin of Spokane, WA, and Karen (Lynn) Griggs of Rexburg, ID. Grandchildren: Rebecca Gren, Melanie (Keldon) Eppich, Dusty (Caytlyn) Griggs, Kyle Gren, Paige (Wayne) Riggs, Stephen Gren, Cory Thompson, Lindsai (Spencer) Schwendiman, Haley (Dylan) Despain, and Riley Thompson. Great Grandchildren: Brody Eppich, Tyler Eppich, and Oliver Griggs.
Funeral Services: Saturday June 11, 2016 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Dr. SLC. Viewing: 9:45-10:45 followed by funeral at 11 am.
