Gayle was born December 1, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wallace and Luella Rosander.
She attended Granite High School, graduated from Olympus High School, and then studied at the University of Utah.
She married the love of her life and best friend, Gordon Fletcher, on September 24, 1963, in the Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gayle served in the Primary, the Young Women, and the Relief Society. Of her many callings, her time as a missionary in the Utah State Prison with her husband was her favorite!
Gayle has enjoyed a variety of activities throughout her life. As a teenager, she loved swimming and earned the title of AAU Diving Champion.
As an adult, Gayle learned to play tennis. She progressed quickly and enjoyed it so much that at one point she qualified to play on a national level in South Carolina. Gayle has also enjoyed the great outdoors all her life and spent many days camping, hiking, fishing, and white water rafting with her family. Gayle loved to capture treasured family memories through scrapbooking.
Gayle's greatest joy in life was being a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Gayle is survived by her husband, Gordon, sons G.R (Sara) Fletcher, Chad (Angela) Fletcher, Kevin (Alicia) Fletcher; Daughters DeEtte (Ken) Larsen, Marcy (AJ) Lewis; Brother Kris (Becky) Rosander, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be on November 3, 2023, at 11:00 am, with a viewing preceding the service from 9:30-10:45 at the Little Cottonwood Ward building 6350 South Rodeo Lane Murray, Utah, 84121.
A viewing will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the Little Cottonwood Ward Building 6:00-8:00 p.m.
