Born December 11, 1960 to Frank John and Sharon Burnett Hoffman in Salt Lake City, GayLynne Hoffman passed away at home in her sleep on October 20, 2018.
GayLynne attended Hillcrest High School in Midvale and graduated in 1979.
She was assistant manager at Payless shoe store, where she had worked for many years. She was a devoted thrift shop treasure hunter, especially enjoying discovering cook books from the 30s, 40s and 50s and glassware of any age. In later years, some of her regular outings included lunch and thrifting with her mother, who will miss her dearly. She was an avid reader, lover of cats, and enjoyed both exercising and traveling through her books. Gaylynne was always thinking about ways to help others, and she had a wicked sense of humor.
Proceeded in death by her father Frank J. Survived by mother Sharon B; siblings Michael (Emily), Merry Ann, Kenneth, Ronald (Bonnie), Robert; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, October 27,th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the LDS Church Meadows Building, (9455 South. 4800 West, South Jordan). Family will say a few brief words celebrating GayLynne’s life, then time will be given for reconnecting.
