

Gerald "Jerry" William Pippy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 15, 2026. Born on November 1, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jerry lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy. He was the cherished son of George William Pippy and Neta Hauser and was predeceased by his infant son Brennon Reid Pippy; grandparents George Sr. and Adelia Pippy, Arthur and Dorothy Westerman; his father, George W. Pippy; mother, Neta Westerman Hauser; sister Christine Kuck; and brothers Jeffrey Hauser and Gary Pippy.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Wendee Madsen Pippy. The couple married on December 17, 1983, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and their union was blessed with two sons, Nicholas William (Shelby) and Braxton John Pippy, who brought immense pride and joy to Jerry's life. He was the doting grandfather to Leah Lynn and Grey William Pippy, who were the light of his life. Jerry also leaves behind his loving sister, Sharleen (Gary) Easley, along with a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored him.
A dedicated employee of the Jordan School District, Jerry served as the evening custodian at Oakcrest Elementary School. He cherished his role at the school, where he worked and where his grandchildren attended. Jerry took great pride in ensuring the school was a clean and safe haven for the children and staff. His compassionate nature and sense of humor earned him the appreciation and respect of all who knew him there.
Jerry's passions extended beyond his work. An avid hockey enthusiast from a young age, Jerry played on a traveling team that competed as far as Canada. His love for hockey continued throughout his life, and he was a devoted fan of the Buffalo Sabres. Jerry also had a deep-rooted loyalty to the Los Angeles Chargers. His enthusiasm for music was infectious, as he enjoyed attending concerts with friends and turning his brother-in-laws into rock and roll aficionados.
Above all, Jerry was a family man, who cherished his loved ones and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love were felt by everyone fortunate enough to be part of his life.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate Jerry's life will be held on August 28, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah.
Jerry will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious smile, and the love he shared so freely with those around him. His legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
